If The Mars Volta's Amputechture is full of mystery, the band's fourth album, The Bedlam in Goliath, is the zenith of all things mysterious and bizarre. And to top it off, the source of it all began with a ouija board the band called The Soothsayer. There's a lot to unpack in The Bedlam in Goliath, inspired and named after the collective entity of three spirits the band contacted during the album's creation. From stories of love triangles to the actual happenings each member experienced while they recorded the album, The Bedlam in Goliath's sounds are reflective of its dark background.
